Last week of WWSS, Photographer's holiday-1

Woke up pretty early for today as I would have to leave my home around 5.50 am in order to take the first train to Marina Bay. Did'nt tell you where i'm going.Well, i'm be leaving for KL,Malaysia. Felt a little sad as i'll be missing my dearest friends in WWSS as it's the last week of School for 2006.Can't spend more time with them.Also missing my laptop as I can't bring there to type my blog or MSN them. Pretty sad for a while...=(
Left the house around 5.50 am, went to the MRT station, didn't see any Westwoodian there.Didn't have the chance to say goodbye to them. Haizz...
Stop at Kranji MRT station, went to take the 170 bus which brings me from Kranji to JB and also the coach bus station.Went pass the normal rountine which was pretty fast as it was not the peak hours yet.Very lucky..=) Check passports, going through immgration checkpoints..etc. Finally, reach the coach bus station.
Realized that the ticket counters for our bus to KL has not been open yet.Went for breakfast with my parents.Pretty sad that my younger sis can't come with us as she has to focus on her upcoming exams, good thing got one extra seat in the coach bus (which was suppose to be for her when she comes).Effect? Got one extra seat for myself to snooze during the 5 hr journey Haha...
Aboard the coach bus to KL,was very lucky to have the first and the earliest bus going to KL. Grrrrr.... Was a little angry during the journey as the radio was switch on up to the 'highest' volume! Couldn't sleep for a while due to this.
Forgot that the Malays are soon celebrating Hari Raya.They must be very excited over this. Also wishes from the SC Photographer to all my Malay friends in WWSS, Selemat Hari Raya! Told the driver to soften down the volume a little bit as some of them would need to rest. He did and apologize for the inconvience caused. Finally, can rest during the journey with the jacket covering my face. Zzzzz....
The bus came to a stop at one of the food corners (which i usually called them in each trip to Malaysia). Went down to strech my muscles for a while. Around that time was 11 am which is also recess time in WWSS.Wondering how's my dearest Karin, Wei Yang, bro Jian Yang and the rest of the SCs doing there, hope the're doing fine.Miss my dearest 2Cameriderians (apologize if being spelt wrongly) when taking care of them. The bus continue its journey to KL.Continue to sleep more for a while then woke up looking at the window,seeing the greenery there.
Finally, reach at KL around 12+ pm which was my maths lessons in WWSS 3E 2006. Took the public transport to our hotel called The Legend Hotel(sounds legendary....haha =)). Went to check in at the 9th floor which is the lobby.(Sounds high). Check in at our rooms. The first room we've checked in was a wrong room and went to called the reception counter to swop the rooms with the correct catergory. Took almost 30 mins to get a correct room.Grrr....
After 30 mins of waiting,the hotel bellmen 'escorted' us to our correct rooms. Very spacious,but not comp for me to type my feelings (So sad:( ). Got nothing better to do than to sleep again.Haha. Zzzzz.
Start the KL holiday by going down to the shopping centre just beside the hotel, have a small, light dinner for us. Continue walking along the streets where the streets becomes like a pasar malam being set up by them. Bought fruits at a cheap price.Continue walking pass houses and decide to take a train to the world-accalimed KLCC.Saw most of the retail outlets being open.Bought a few thing there as nothing much that's good to buy.Some other shops were closed for the day or being closed early due to the Hari Raya celebrations. Should let them spend some time with their family and not working too much during the joyious occasion.
Left KLCC and went back to our hotel room.Was around 9+pm when returning back to the hotel.Was very noisy when journeying back as the Malays are always shouting for people coming to their shops and to buy their goods.Went to makan the mangoes that we've bought for the day before showering up.
Quite boring today.Sleep so early...zzzzz...=)

Photographer's Lessons @Canon Harbourfront
This post is being dated 20 October 2006. Just to inform you guys.
Woke up pretty early today around 8 plus am with a smile forming me =).Seems that the day will be good for me.Luckily not late for School as it's Promotion Assembly today. YIPEES =)
If i'm not wrong, by the time i woke up from my bed, the P,V/P and teachers will gather together and will officially start the Promotion Assembly 2006. Hope all of our Westwood teachers will say good things not just about me in my attitude of learning and pushing myself to suceed. But also, to my dearest friends who know me (whether a lot or less) and my SCs people. Wishing them to relax and also all the best in their overall results from the SC Photographer =)
Nothing to do much in the morning, just started to MSN people in my precious laptop.Marven immediately was online after i just sign in.Only got 1 or 2 out of 15 Westwoodians online.Sigh...Talk to Marven for a while :(
The day does'nt end there.Have to get ready to go to Canon showroom at Harbourfront for my free Digital Camera training course as i bought a brand new camera during the IT Fair @ Expo in September (not sooo.. outdated one).
Decided to register myself for the training as some of the new functions are not pretty familar to me and to me, that is a chance for me to learn something new from the course. The last time i attend the course was 2 years ago when i was Sec 1.
Have my lunch before leaving home, took the train to Harbourfront.and walk to Canon showroom. I must say, that their showroom is extremely gorgeous and also still keeping their film cameras and their previous lenses which are usually long and heavy in the showroom. Went to confirm my course registration at the registration counter and went to find a seat at the training corner. The ambience & lighting was very peaceful and calm. Saw other people who are also attending the same course as me.The other people who i'm refering to are working adults with their cameras with the latest on sale. Have a diffrent camera as them as their cameras are the IXUS series, while my camera is the Powershot A530 which has a little lesser camera functions than them.Overall, it does not affect my camera a lot (which i'll be using it for my upcoming photo shoot). Forgot also that i've also saw a teenager who's also attending the course, she's a little older than me.
Waited for the trainer for a little longer.He came a little late. Did a little introduction about him, he's also a friend of famed photographer Ian Loyld (who's also a very good friend with Canon) which is also one of my favourite photograhers in my list.
Began the training, the trainer commented me that i'm kind of a little advance thinker in using this new camera as i'm the only guy with a diffrent camera series ! Anyway, come back to the training,took some key pointers which i believe it will help in my upcoming photo shoot.Have to read the manual also as being adviced by my trainer for the day as he cover quite of the basic part of having a good photo shoot during the course.Continue the training, was pretty interactive with trainer and the adults there. Took a break around 3 pm and came back,having the trainer giving us the range of ISO speeds which helps me in using the right ISO when taking pictures in WWSS. Before coming to the closing of the course, the trainer gives us an opportunity in taking picture round the showroom with diffrent modes in the camera.Beneficial for me though.
Untill suddenly, the trainer told me to stand at the back of the trainer corner. At first, I don't know why he told me to stand at the back of the corner. Untill (this is a big 'scenario' for me), the trainer told the rest of the people to have their cameras focusing on me ! (using the correct camera mode they suppose to take a shoot of me).Honestly, i felt a little malu and my mind was like 'WHY ME ?!'.
Have to remember that i'm an Ambassodor for WWSS.RAHHH... Oh well, the SC photographer has to become the first model of WWSS for the day. Put my best pose (looking at the window) for the camera as possible. Worse (to me), they told me to look at them to take a good shot.Some of them called me you know 'Mr Handsome'. I almost started to feel red immediately. Grrrr... went to focus the loads of cameras waiting to take a shot of me. The trainer told me that he'll will treat me, did not treat me at the end anyway.But never mind. The adults taking me commented that I look a little 'serious' (Well that's my style of being cool) jokingly told me that my photo will be shown around the city.I almost fainted now! Luckily, that photo shoot of myself ended soon after each adult have taken a photo of myself. Have to make sure that they will remember me by keeping my photo =).
Round up the 2 hr 30 min course with a little debrief for the course. After the course ended, I decided to stay in the showroom for a while as to take some time to look at their cameras & printers. Bid goodbye to my adult friends (who have taken me earlier) and my trainer.Went back home, feeling tired but happy that I have learn something from this course which will be beneficial for me in future... =D

EYE-Part 3, Reflections of the day
Was a normal day for me.But is also a time for me to reflect for this year on my character in my studies. Start the day pretty good.Positive sign =)
Woke up at around 5.15 am this morning, didn't feel that need to go back to my bed to sleep Zzzzz.. a little longer. Quite/well freshen up for the day another positive sign =). Went out of the house around 6 am after a light breakfast. Inside me, I recall on when was the last time i took the 172 bus from CCK to WWSS. Pretty glad that i reach WWSS early for my SC duty (Took a bottle of Chicken Essence for my health sake).
Also being the 1st student in my class to be in the quadrangle, went to the back gate for my SC duty, saw Mel again calling my so-called nicknamed 'Botak' (Most of the Westwoodians know me quite well due to my hairstyle).A good thing that she did not go and debate over my hairstyle. Have to raise my voice to some people as to prevent them from coming late. Quite a number of latecomers today which to me is quite ok and not so bad. Normal assembly and went to the hall to begin my first job as an SC Phtographer for the Sec 1 SCs speech.Hope it will be success (In my mind).
Went to the hall for their Sec 1s SC speeches, noted Fernanders (who have recuited me as a SC Photographer once again for this year which I am pretty happy to received this honor again). Saw their performance for a while untill Crystal told me to go back to class for lessons. Well, obeyed her and left the hall 'heartbroken & disapointed' in not fufilling my first mission. It's still not the end of my life anyway. Must remember-Always be resilent in anything you do.
Back to the story, went back to class, feeling a little remorseful of being 'chase out', began to write a letter which occupies 1.5 foolscap page on both sides, writing my feelings and having that SCs who has talents should be recuited and to develop in living thier life to the fullest. Didn't passed the letter to Mr Michael Chua yet as the written one was a draft without anything editing. My first thought was to sent through email but finally decided to 'cancel' the plan. Got back my overall results. It was a surprise for me that I have at least met the minimum criteria of going to Sec 4 NA (Wishing it will be a success once again for Promotion Excersise). Before the results were out, my mind was thinking 'Have I met the criteria enough' untill Ms Lee read out my results that i have minimally passed the criteria. With the help of pushing up on my Science overall results (if not, that's the end of me Noooo...), finally still on the safe zone.
Time goes by...After recess, went back to class for the continuation of Maths lessons as to cotinue some parts of unfinished chapters which we have to cover now before we go to Sec 4 NA where they will be a shortage of time so have to learn in advance. Got some benefits in learning in advance as you know the theory of a subject before.
Physics lessons, went throught Physics paper (The most killing paper) did corrections as much as possible where I have to delay Mrs Vergis as i have made an appointment with her due to this. Have to apologise for this.
Went to see Mrs Vergis in the chit chat room. Began to express my heartfelt feelinngs of my talent in photography and having the first thought like being rejected. But I was wrong in my thinking, she told me that the teacher around me were thinking that I'm budging them in which I don't want to do on them.
She encourage me to make an 'alliance' with them which is also informing them and that's the key which i left out. I felt sorry for myself. Thank her for the encourging words and her advice to me.
Went back to class to finish up my Physics corrections and finally-Chemistry Paper, did pretty quick. Mdm Sim has kindly told how's the promotion is going to be like tommorow. Heard that for those borderline passing cases/character learning has to sign a form on contract on how to improve in their acedemic skills during the 2 months holidays. Also have to take a retest in a particular paper as
to prove to some of the teachers that they've done something during the holidays. I pray that i'll not fall in this category where i've to sign a contract (Have to get ready a black pen if i fall in this category.Must not fall...).
Went back home and shower up and begin to explore other blogs done by other Westwoodians.Overall, very impressive.Perhaps, my blog would need a renovation. Heard that Karin would like to help me in renovating my blog.She's an expert in this and also my successor in photography. Took a nap in the evening where i have a dream which i would not share in this blog.So sorry...
Anyway, wishing all Westwoodians to relax well during the promotion excersise tomorrow.
Preparing myself photography course tommorow. Have to travel to Harbourfront.How i wish is near.Benefit?Will learn more skills and becming a well equiped skilled photographer.=)

EYE Results-Part 2, Hired Again :D
Pretty good day today. Well, tried to take a public transport instead of a bus as i will cost me lots of $$ you know. So sad :(, no choice had to take taxi again.Guess what?-I was being sent by a Mercedes Limo (Quite high style for them). Tried to take a typical taxi which i will have to wait for a longer time. Oh well, took the limo, pretty cosy inside and you know-high tech.
Reach WWSS in time for my duty. Stop the taxi usually at the bus stop so can save some money.Step out of the limo, saw Weiyang at his usuall position giving me a 'shock' look (i think). Saw Shaun, Louis & JJ if i'm not wrong, know that in thier minds that i'm the guy always takes the taxi. Well, prove them wrong, will be seeing me bus 172 which i usually take previously, will do that tommorow.Come back to the story, went up to the hall, and went down to the back gate for SC duty, saw Mellisa there, say hi to her handsome. Start talking about my 'wierd' hairstyle that i've been keeping for years where she went to ask the Sec 1s SC whether they want to keep this kind of hairstyle like. Well, you know they'll say no (All Westwood guys have to go NS in the later years and to go botak during their NS). Heard that bro Jian Yang soon being going botak and having his haircut in the Nov holidays. Having two botak SCs soon Must make sure that he will keep the botak hairstyle for my upcoming SC individual photo shoot. Haha....
During assembly, have a lot of prize presentations. Overall, congrats to all prize receipients. Importantly the Stand & Deliver 2006 Awards. Got predicted one of the classes winning and it came true which was-3B. Prediction power quite good eh. See how in future. Still be maintaining my role next year as Special Commentor for Stand & Deliver.Others,well, will see me as a mysterious commentor.See how first.
During recess, Sheikh went to ask me on how my SC collection going on. My reply was not yet.Gave him my proposal for the upcoming photo shoot.Told him that Fernanders like and accept the proposal i created. Finally, was hired as a SC photographer last week and my massive project will be coming to a reality. Can;t tell too much, if not others will know it.
Mellisa still going over my hairstyle and went to ask Sheikh whether he want to have the hairstyle.During the questioning, i was like falling and my mind was like 'Nooooo...' .His ans was like he definately don't do like my hairstyle.
Went back to class, received most of my EYE results, went to combined them with from CA1-SA2.To make it short, I am possibly able to go to Sec 4 NA.But nd some moderation over my Science cos my physics is pulling my marks down (ARGH) and a little moderation over my English. Hope this year will be a success and for this coming Promotion Excersise, teachers, HODs and P/VP will see my good character in learning and always keep trying to improve more.
Went back home aft School, change and went to the nearest spectacle shop, know the owners well (who are also the optermetrists) as to choose my new specs for my photo shoot. Saw my their newest brands of specs and the colors. Saw also a newcoming buying her own specs, tried to bargain with her over my favourite specs color. In the end, got my new specs with a little slivery color instead of choosing brown color (which she wants it cos she's a first comer) as the auntie comment that i look 'matured' when wearing that. Play fair for both of us, she got what she need and went off first, while me, still deciding over the color and finally accept. Actually wanted to choose another color of the specs which is orange and also prettly similar to Shaun's one. Better not copy him :), so get a diffrent color which i think it'll stand out of the crowd. Took eye check, told me that my eye degree is still stable.To me, i nd my new specs as a 'backup'. Overall, gave me a very good price for the new specs. Told me that this the best price as originaly it costs $200+ (frame+specs) which is extremely expensive and gave me a good price for me as i'm her regular customer. Have to wait for a week (after my Malaysia holiday) as we all know, it takes time to finish a job.
Went back home, and come out of the house soon as to go cyling around the CCK area which took me around 30-40 mins. Quite adventurous. Went back home,have my dinner and start opening my laptop to think what to write for today on my newborn blog.
P.S All the best to the Sec 1 SCs for their speeches tommorow :)Will be beginning my job as SC Photographer.Hope that they won't have stage frights tommorow... Haha..

EYE Results
Quite a short post for today...
Well, woke up just in time and ready to go to WWSS by taxi. Luckiliy i met one of my Dad's friends who so happens to be the taxi driver waiting at the MRT station.Results? Free of Charge YIPEE:) as no need to be cos he's will be going home after completing his night shift. Probably i'm the last passenger...
Reach WWSS at 7 am. Saw Mr W.Y Lee in his Meranti PE shirt (i really miss them a lot, wish i could rewind back time when i was in Sec 2C which is a Meranti Class, but that would be impossible). Kind of a little late for SC duty, not caught luckily, went to do the back gate duty. Saw Mel there and the Sec 1s (still trying to recall their names...).Thank God never call me 'handsome' except in the MSN chatroom.
Did our rev-up this week,instead we did 5BX not the Road Run due to the hazy weather today. Was pretty happy for the day. Went back to class EL Ms Lee was not around cos she's sick (alot of teachers are sick actually, I wonder whether is due to the haze problem in Singapore....hmmm).Got back POA, paper, got fail but yet improve a little bit for EYE.Maths paper,scored pretty well overall for this year and still maintaining the standard.Real concern is that,I hope that I'll still be in NA next year and having a class of people who are fun and energetic and also having a heart of learning. I pray that I'll not be dropped to NT as i miss Westwood a lot when i leave next year as a NT student...

MC for the day
Haiz...Today, woke up pretty late for School at 7 am.Woke up immediately from my bed.Went to strech myself before i do anything else for the day. My intention honestly, was that to stay at home and recuperate as my health system got damaged by flu since the weekends. Solution, well, went to ask my mum wether I can stay at home for the day. Since there's nothing important for the day, she allow me to stay and home and to finish up my personal work. YEAH :).Still the photographer is sick and sneezing badly.sneeze.....sneeze. Have to used lots of tissue papers for today. Went to the Doctor at my nearest clinic.
This Doctor will always know me well as I'm his 'regular patient' when i see him everytime. On my way there, i was hoping that i will be the first few patients to be treated by him after the clinic opens for the day. To my disappointment, after registering, I was the no.27th patient for the day according to the waiting number :(.So unfair, should get a 'Fast Forward' (not talking about The Amazing Race) now for this as my case is a worst case scenerio. Also, i have to wait for almost 1/2 hr before my turn to see the Doc and then take my medicine. Went back home, still sneezing very badly for the day. To side track a little bit, luckiliy never come today if not, Melissa will see her 'Handsome' again at the back gate where i'm suppose to do SC duty. Will feel malu, you know :X. Coming back to my story, went back home, still badly sneezing and using lots of tissue paper, i began on what i am to do for the day. Began opening my laptop and start doing my plans for the two months holiday as my tution teacher needs it.Took my medication before i left.
Well, went to the spectacle shop with my dad to see my optemetrist as to get my new specs (who knows my dad pretty well). But unfortunately, we heard from his workers there that he's still have not come back from his Genting holiday from and will be coming back tommorow night. Quite a bad day for me though, having flu, didn't bought my new specs today and have to wait till Wed
:( .
Anyway, i hope that tommorow will be something positive. :)

1st time blogging-Introduction
Well,well... As this is my first time blogging, i hope that all visitors will apreciate in what i write in my blog. The blog, well consits of my life as a Westwoodian and also a 'quite famed' photographer in WWSS. Please do not put bad remarks on this blog. Have not started putting the 'deco' for my blog so you have to wait for some time to have the final look so sorry. Stay tuned for more :)
